It's A Wrap

The 2nd Buddy Up Against Bullying 5K is now in the books and it was a great success if I do say so.  We had a smaller contingent than last year, but that was to be expected with it being a holiday weekend.  Conversely, we had far more people downloading the bib than last year, making our Virtual 5K is huge hit!

To those of you that participated here on campus, to our sponsors, to those that participated in the Virtual 5K...thank you, from the bottom of my heart.

The outpouring of support from around the globe has been quite mind blowing.  Who knew that our small little event with just our students, families, faculty and staff could generate such awareness and support?  Certainly not me.

So what's next?  Well...we do it again.  This time, in October of 2014 to coincide with National Bullying Awareness Month.  Stay tuned, and thank you as always for your support.

ATTENTION RCMS FAMILIES

If you are an RCMS student or parent, and you plan to participate in the on-campus event this Saturday (May 24th), please click here to register.  We need to have all of the pertinent information prior to Saturday, so please do this ahead of time.  We hope to see a strong student contingent, just as we did last year.

The on-campus run will start at 8:00 am, so please plan to arrive well ahead of time so you can sign in.

We will be drawing for some pretty cool prizes (Omega Sports gift cards, Road ID gift cards), so come out and enjoy you Saturday morning with us at RCMS.

And...whether you are participating on campus or not, don't forget to show your support by downloading your FREE Buddy Up Against Bullying bib.

As always... thank you for the support and continue to spread the word.

Tick...tock...tick...tock

Hi Buddies!  The time is fast approaching for the 2014 Buddy Up Against Bullying 5K & Virtual 5K.  If you haven't already downloaded your FREE bib, click here now to visit our buddies from Races2Remember for your very own Buddy Up Against Bullying bib.

Even if you are unable to participate in the event, downloading a bib is an excellent way to show your support for Buddy Up Against Bullying.

Every day across the United States, some 160,000 students skip school out of fear of being the target of a bully.  Our goal is to bring the topic of bullying out into the open, and have honest conversations about the perils of bullying, and how we can bring about a cultural shift in communities across the nation and around the world.

Bullying is not a rite of passage.  It is not "just a part of growing up."  It is, however, time for a change.
